My First Time...

This was my first time ever entering a sketch challenge. This one came from Mojo Monday. I'm not sure if I made the deadline, but I'm very proud of this card none the less. I love the cute miniature Santa image. I'm also especially proud of the holly I made. You'd be surprised what scraps can do. Thanks Mojo Monday for the inspiration.

Happy Birthday, Baby.

My birthday was yesterday, and my husband tells me he couldn't find a card he liked to get me. Being that I've been very crafty lately, he decided he wanted to try his hand at it, and make me a card. This is what he made, his first time crafting ever! I'm a HUGE halloween buff, so this fit right in. I love this card, and love the fact that he thought to do something personal like this for me.

To Hawaii with love

My girlfriend needed a thank you card for her Godmother, so she asked me to make her one. Her Godmother lives in Hawaii, and loves gardening. She's Australian, and her husband is Japanese and loves to fish, so these cute Ian and Anya stamps had to be put to use! This took me a while to figure out, being that I had the most trouble picking my background paper. My girlfriend who needed the card ended up picking out that piece, so everything else fell into place. I love it, these characters are so cute. I hope the person it was intended for loves it too.

Midnight Migraine

My husband is he oldest of 4, and the only boy. His oldest little sister, Amy, turns 29 this Friday. I got this way cool stamp from Glo today, and while I had a mermaid card in mind, this girl absolutely had to be colored and put on a card!! I've been using a blend of basic colored pencils, markers, and gel pens to color and add highlights. (Hopefully this Xmas will bring me my very own Copic set..) I spent hours last week coloring the Anya mermaid I had intended to use for her card, but alas, Newt won. She had to be used right away. I spent hours into the wee morning and gave myself a headache with this one, but I feel good about it. Kinda. It seems there is always something missing...but I'm sure that's just my craziness talking.

Over 20 years

My best friend Kyla is one year and one day older than me. We've been best friends for 20 years now. With my birthday looming, hers is as well. I'm really getting into being crafty lately, but my mind doesn't work right when I want it too. I've been copying layouts I see at creepyglowbugg.blogspot.com( She rocks!), and trying to add my own spin. Hopefully Kyla will like this card. I might be over pink at this point. She certainly is unforgettable.

Bump In The Night

My good friend, Chuck, owns a great horror memorabilia company. Appropriately named www.bumpinthenightproductions.com. He's sent me such cool stuff he's made, so I thought I'd try my hand at something for him. Here's what became of it. I had intended on using a different monster, but these two won me over.

ICP

My husband and I met at a concert for a local band I worked for. He walked by my booth in ICP paint, and myself being a Juggalo and never meeting any other Juggalos, I hollered at him and got him to come over to me. Our first kiss was on a Friday the 13th, after a Juggalo party I had thrown. Needless to say, ICP was damn near responsible for bringing us together. Here we are almost 9 years later, doing what we do best. This was last Friday, November 13th, at an ICP show. It was sooo meant to be. :)

For Leilani and Her Mother

Cards for my sister and niece for their birthdays.
