Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?

Here is the journal I made for my bff's niece, Tierra. She's a huge New Moon fan, and like every other teenage girl is absolutely infatuated with Taylor Lautner(Jacob Black in the Twilight movies). I put a pic of Jacob and his wolf pack on front, with the cutest dog days theme. Well, he IS a werewolf. Inside is a letter from Jacob to Tierra, and on every page is a quote from him. On the back is a paw print with their initials. Making this took me back to my silly teenage years. I would have just about died if someone gave me something like this from my favorite heartthrob(it was Sebastian Bach and Danny Wood), so I can't wait to see the look on her face. I might wear ear plugs.

Spider Monkey

My nephew Isaiah turns 7 this week. The Hubs lovingly refers to him as "Spider Monkey" or "Turd Burglar". I didn't think a piece o poo would look good on a card, I thought I'd use this awesome free monkey image I got from www.bugaboostamps.com. He's cute, but looks like he was up to something and here to give you a flower to make up for it, right? Well, that's my nephew. Cute as all get out, but in a blink of an eye a demon pops out. Then that cute little spider monkey is back, ready to love you. Maybe I should just call him a Sour Patch kid.

Hambo Hogs and Sketches Challenge #5

Here is my entry for the Hambo Hogs and Sketches Challenge for February. I entered last month, and won second place! Woo hoo! My loot was a free Hambo digi, and after much deliberation, I settled on these WONDERFUL clowns! I know a few people who find clowns creepy, and I must say that's one of the things that draw me to them. I love that which is CREEPY! (Note my blog pic...) I couldn't wait to put them to good use! What better way than a sketch challenge.

This months sketch was done by Mackenzie, one of their talented design team members. These challenges are fun, and a great way to score some Hambo rubbah or digis! You can enter as many times as you want, and you have ALL month to do it! So, what are you waiting for? See you there!

Wolf Boy for Alycia

Yes, I became part of the Twilight phenomenon, but not as bad as you'd think. (I am a Team Edward fan, though, as true love ALWAYS prevails.) I read all 4 books before the first movie ever came out. I had no idea it would blow up like this! I had a bunch of photo cards that came from Burger King, and of course I held on to them for just the right occasion. My friend's niece turned 12 this past weekend, and she came to me to make her a card. She's a Team Jacob fan, so here is her very own wolfy boy, custom made for her, and no one else will have it. Happy Birthday, Alycia!

Happy VD...

Finally in our lovely new home! Finally got my craft room up and running, and got the internet hooked back up. All that put me in the mood to cut and paste and color and fold! Here are my 3 cards for this years Valentines Day. The first card I made for my girlfriend to give to her boyfriend, using this super cute free digi from The Greeting Farm. Bertie is too cute! Then, for my husbands card I took a picture from our trip to Fort Bragg, Ca to be part of a beautiful wedding. (Damn flash on my camera, that spot isn't in the actual photo.) Lastly, I used an image I got from the Swap Shop at Smeared and Smudged, made for my girlfriend who has no Valentine this year. Hopefully this will cheer her up!
