Alcohaulin' Ass

This one's for my little bro.  He turned 20 yesterday, and thanks to The Hubs and I, is a metal lovin boy.  Loves all music that's hard, fast, driven, and mean.  Being a 20 year old male, he also digs scantily clad chicks.
Here's Carmen Electrafying(not the name I chose) from the Kenny K Krash Kittenz.  I won her for naming another one of the Kittenz, Honey Sparks.  Haven't used her yet.  Carmen, however, fit right along with what I wanted to do.  My bro idolizes Dimebag Darrell(guitarist for Pantera and later on Damageplan).  He's got posters, videos, cds, you name it.  One of Dime's famous quotes- "Getcha pull!"  Dime was shot to death 12/8/04, while playing on stage.  It was a huge loss to the metal community, a community I'm proud to be a member of.  That's Dime doin his thing in the background.  Little bro loved this card a lot.  I'm particularly fond of how I colored Carmen.

I've been practicing.  I really like her. Happy New Year to you all.

All In The Family

I got a lot of tattoos.  A lot.  Well, that depends on who you're comparing me too, but regardless, it's a lot.  I've been getting tattooed for 17 years, and as of last night,  have finally finished all my families tattoos.  Just wanted to share.
This is for my little sister.  I could have gotten a better picture.
This is for my Momma, who left us Christmas Eve 2005.

Yep.  You guessed it.  For Grandma.  I've only had one Grandparent my entire life, and it was the woman I was named after, my Grandma Kathryn. She's an amazing seamstress, specializing in wedding dresses.  Yep, you guessed it again.  She made my wedding dress.
I got this last night.  For my Dad. Nothing like the sting of a fresh tattoo the day after.

My husband and I, because it's Forever.  Merry Christmas.

She's got a pwesent for you..

Just a super freaking cute little girl. Free digi, found here.  Cool Glowskull in the middle.  That's it.

For the Boys

I ask a question to two of my bachelor pals-blonds, brunettes, or redheads?  Scott, the first one to answer, says "All of them.".  I ask doesn't he have a preference?  He says no, they're all good.  So, this is what he got.
I chose purple.  I used Allura Von D, from Kenny K.  I used this awesome silver metallic paper to mount her on.  When taking the picture, I noticed it's quite reflective, so that's me behind her. Hello!

My other pal, Matthew, answered quite differently.
"I'm not keen on blonds in general but a short haired blond, like really short, will weaken my knees. It's over, I'm bent!  Brunettes are the depth in the dark.  Vast and mysterious.  You can fall into a brunette, become enveloped, and get comfortably lost.  Redheads, I got a thing for them!  Smooth, pink, lightly freckled.  Flat out, they're the softest women I have ever felt."

Verbatim.  When asked if Matthew had a favorite color, his answer was "Royal blue and emerald green.  Looks Irish that way."  So, this is what Matthew got.

I have a confession to make.  I can't draw.  Really.  And I've been learning how to color from watching and trying to emulate others whom I deem Gods in the world of Copics.   One of them is my Creepy gal pal.  She used this same Kenny K image on a card. only in blue.  Beautiful hues of blue.  This was the last of my Xmas pack from Kenny, and this was the one chick who intimidated me, as far as coloring is concerned.  So, I took a queue from Creepy, and tried to do what she did, only in green.  It's not as good, but it's not bad, either.  I got the sentiment as a free digi from Bugaboo Stamps.  Oddly enough, when I went back to check out her card again, I noticed I used the same sentiment.  Hmmm.  Stalker, much?  Either way, both Matt and Scott enjoyed their girls, and said they're framing them.

You'd Better Not Pout...

Or this little Kenny K cutie won't bring you anything.

This is the digi Xmas Shopping, from the aforementioned Kenny K Xmas pack.  Only got one more lady from that pack to go.  Hope I can get it done.

Ho Ho friggin Ho

Just a fun little card with a Dustin Pike freebie from last year.
Cracks me up every time I look at it.  I love this guy.

Battery Bill

My husbands employer takes very good care of him, which in turn means us.  Every year, they take the employees out to a Holiday dinner at a nice restaurant, and hand out Christmas bonuses.  Of course, all the employees put in their own money to get the owners something nice.  My husband asked me a few days ago if we had a gift bag lying around, something to put the bosses gift in.  I'm one of those people who actually DON'T save gift bags, so here's what I made instead.

A card!  He works for Battery Bill, and you'll never guess what they sell.  Yep.  Batteries, for anything that needs a battery.  Anything.  I printed out a pic of the front of the building, then set it in sepia tones and ran it along a brown ink pad to antique it a bit.  I also added a drawing of the inside of a 12 volt battery, antiqued it a bit as well.  My background paper was a prize I won from HDH couple weeks back.  It's from Susan's Crafty Chaos, and it's a Simply Steampunk set.  All her papers are digital, which is really cool, because you'll never run out.  Of course, you'll run out of ink, but that's remedied easily.  Couple of jewels I colored up with Copics, and it's done.  Now, the only sucky thing about the Hubs holiday party is that no one else but employees can go.  No spouses. I know, right?  So, I'm hoping they'll like this enough to invite me next year, or I just might be party crashing.

Naughty or Nice?

Just a little something for the masses.  Still stuck on these damn Kenny K ladies.

This is Mrs. Claus.  She came in a cool Xmas pack, along with that present at the bottom.  I took a card I got last year, took what I wanted from it(the background), and voila!  New card.  Who says I'm not creative?

HDH069-Colorblind Christmas

After typing that title, for some reason the song 'Snowblind', by KISS, popped in my head.  Just wanted to share that.

Here's my entry for the very last Macabre Monday of 2010.  The challenge this week is to create a dark, spooky, gothic, alternative, or creepy Christmas card, without using a stitch of red or green. Being that I'm not a huge fan of red and green together, I loved this challenge.  Well, I love them all, but you know what I'm sayin-

Here she is!  This is Tootsie, from Simply Betty Stamps Punky Teens Hallowe'en digis.  I took a cue from a Creepy pal of mine and used her on a Christmas card, being that I didn't use her this Hallowe'en season.  She looks like she's screaming something, so let it snow came to mind.  Being that I live in the valley of Northern California, snow is something we never see unless we wanna drive up the freeway 50 or so miles.  So, Tootsie is doing her snow dance.  I used this awesome white glitter paper I found at the Bullseye, but as soon as you touch it glitter is EVERYWHERE.  I came out of my craft room lookin like a Cullen, or a stripper, whichever you prefer. =)  This is the last Haunted Design House challenge of the year, so go on over and join in the fun.  You know you wanna.  Merry Christmas!

Santa Baby...

Still knocking out Christmas cards.  No challenge this week, just wanted to start using my new images.  Oh look! Here's one now--

This is the digi 'Mistletoe', by the faboo Kenny K.  I'm becoming quite infatuated with his sexy lady digis.  My husband is starting to wonder if I'm heading over to the other side..ha ha. Kenny has a Xmas package going on right now, so I jumped on it, and hopefully I can get good use out of all my new girls by the end of the season.

SBS 12 Days of Chirstmas-Day 7

This is my entry for Simply Betty Challenges 12 Days of Chirstmas, Day 7.

Today's challenge was all about Emos.  She's got a killer line of rubber and digis, Emo Kids.  Use any Emo, and the colors purple, lime green, and turquoise.  I chose Effin Miller, from the Emo Christmas digis.  The inside read "Don't worry, it snuck up on us too."  I'm actually having fun gettin in the spirit of things this year, which is new for me.  OH!  That awesome bow?  I learned how to make that from a tutorial HERE.  I'm so glad, because I'm very bow challenged.  Not anymore, though!  Go check out that tutorial if you ever have had to pull out your hair arguing with ribbon.  Also, go check out the challenges at SBS, it's always fun!

HDH068-Ocotpodally Ominous

YEAH!!!  I'm still high on my recent DOUBLE win over at Haunted Design House.  It makes me feel really good.  I'm my worst critic, and I follow such amazingly talented people whom I'll never come close too, so it's very nice to be a part of this.  Here's my entry for this weeks Macabre Monday challenge-

Ocotopodally Ominous-use exactly 8 pieces in your project.  From the card base to the embellishments. Here's my 8. 1-card base, 2-MM picture, 3-Allura digi, 4-sticker on MM's face, 5-sentiment, 6-brown stock sentiment is mounted on, 7&8-two red jewels at the bottom. Though this was harder than it sounds, I actually got done today.  I expected to be at this all week, barely making the deadline.  But, the juices got to flowing, and here she is.  My image is Allura Von D, from the Gothic Angelz, drawn wonderfully by Kenny K.  I made this card for one of my besty's birthday this month.  She's a huge Marilyn Manson fan, thus Mr. M in the background.  She's also a fetish model, so this is my ode to her and her beautiful, dark, gothic, and wonderful ways. I know she's going to love it.  I'm very proud of this card, I just love how it turned out.  Head on over and check out HDH.  The challenges are always fun.  I dare you!

SBS 12 Days of Christmas Day 4

I can't believe I actually made two challenges this week!  I'm feeling the juices flowing, hopefully I can keep up.  Here's my entry for Simply Betty Stamps 12 Days of Christmas, Day 4.

The challenge was to use something scary in your Christmas card.  I used Rio from Simply Betty Stamps Emo World digis.  Decided to put my MS Ghost punch to use, with the inside of the card saying "From all of us!"  Couple bats, couple buttons, and skulls in the Happy Holidays.  Voila!  I'm very happy with the way this turned out.

SBS 12 Days of Xmas #3 & HDH067 Paper Pandemonium

I'm double teamin!  This is my entry for Simply Betty Challenges 12 Days of Christmas Day 3.  Use a Simply Betty image with a creepy kinda tree.  I am not a Xmas person, at all, so this card, and Lola Mummy there, really does the whole Bah Humbug thing for me.

I'm also entering this into Haunted Design House's Macabre Monday Challenge.  This week is Paper Pandemonium.  Use two different patterned papers.  Done, and done!  I just got a cool pack of double sided paper from my good ole Creepy friend, so of course it had to go on here.  Yeah, two challenges in one week!  Big time for me!

Shared Birthday

This card I made for Adam, my friends son turning 13 this year, on MY birthday(yesterday 11/30).  I usually don't like to share, but he's a pretty cool kid so I made an exception.

I used the Cool Kid freebie digi from Kenny K.  Found some cloud paper hanging about in my black hole of a craft room.  That sidewalk was drawn by me, from a tutorial I found on the Midnight Scramper's blog.  It was a while back so I had to search for it, but it proved to work wonderfully.  Off to kick the creative juices in the butt, and try to make the new SBS challenge.

HDH065-Ravenous Ravens

Here's my entry for this week's Haunted Design House challenge.  The theme is ravens, obviously.

I had made this for a previous challenge but missed the deadline, so no entry.  I'm so glad ravens are up again, I really like this card, and really wanted a chance to enter it somewhere.  I messed with this image forever, and this was also my first ever use of distressing.

I think you can see it better here.  Hop on over to Barb's and check out this weeks challenge.  They are always fun, and give us fans of the macabre something to do during the rest of the year.

HDH064 Butchered Blueprint

Just in the nick of time! Here's my entry for this weeks Haunted Design House challenge.  Butchered Blueprint was the theme.  Here's the sketch-

And here's my version-

I used London from the SBS Halloween Emos.  I've had her colored for a while but hadn't used her yet.  I love this image. So cute and creepy at the same time.  Also threw in some ghosts with my MS ghost punch.  Hope they like it!

Kenny K is having a contest to name his new Kittenz coming out soon.  I love his art, he sure can draw a sexy lady.  The contest is to name some or all of the new Kittenz.  Here's my creations, I hope they like them.  It was fun either way, and I can't wait to get my hand on these little pretties.

Bad kitty

Or is it bad Chloe?

She's cute, but something tells me there is deception behind that smile. I dig her, though. She came from Simply Betty Stamps.  Oh, and here's some zombie love for the Halloween season.

Foggy and creepy.  That's us.

I'm cookin..well tryin too!

2nd post today.  I'm finally(yes-I know) knockin these babies out.  Here's a card I made with Millerstein from Simply Betty Stamps.

I got that cool witch boot stamp in a set last year for Christmas, and I JUST remembered I had it.  Yeah, yeah, I know.  I colored Miller with Copics, and dirtied this bad boy up the old fashioned way-with my finger and some Khaki green ink. Off to tackle another card!!!

A simple cheater I am.

Is that wrong?  Well I hope in this case it's not.

Got this super cool image last year from my Creepy Crafty Pal in a little pack of Halloweenie scraps and goodies.  I'm still building my craft collection, ya know.  I really think this is a super cool pic, and I really needed to use my new MS ghost punch. Off to another card, though I can never seem to make challenge deadlines lately!  Boo!

Punky Teens Christmas Release Blog Hop!

Thanks for popping by!  If you're hopping with us, then you've come to me from the talented Juelmarie.  Click HERE to start at the beginning.

Welcome to the Punky Teens Christmas blog hop release!  It's a super cool super long blog hop.  Betty was awesome enough to invite some friends on Facebook, and here we are! It was a neat challenge.  Make a Christmas card, with whatever image Betty sent you.  I know you all are Simply Betty lovers, so you know how awesome these images can be!  I was more than excited to join, being that this is my first participation in a blog hop.  Make sure to check out all the cool things these ladies have done with the quirky Punky Teens, a la Christmas.  Here's what I've conjured up-

Here's Becky.  She REALLY likes her candy canes.  I mean REALLY.  Look at that face.

Oh, the forces of evil worked hard on me!  It was all I could do to keep Becky at a G rating with this card.  I absolutely love this image!  She's got a lot of character, and you really could do all sorts of things with her.  (I'm sorry, I couldn't resist that one.)  Becky seemed like she was in her own world, and I wanted to put her there.  Colored with my trusty Copics, and Stickled almost to death.  Ok, now the coolest part.  There's a prize to be had.

Guest DT for the Month of November! All you have to do is create a project using one of the Punky Teen Christmas images, upload it to inlinkz on the Simply Betty Challenge page and VIOLA! you are in for the race to become A Simply Betty Challenges Guest DT! Much thanks to Betty for making this all happen.  Make sure to leave comments for all the ladies and show them your love!  Now, off to hop along to Lady B and see what she's got cooking.  Happy hopping!

HDH060 Simply Sinister-Got Freddy?

This is my official first Halloween card of the season.  I know, right?  The last post was technically for a wedding, so I didn't count it.  I got this awesome Freddy Kruger Boy digi from Simply Betty Stamps.  I colored him a while ago, and am so glad to finally put him to use.I have decided to enter this card in the Haunted Design House challenge this week.  To create something simple, yet sinister.  Well, I happen to specialize in simple, so I'm in!  Barb and her minions always cook up some creepy cool stuff, and I'm glad to participate.  There is minimal paper on this card, and minimal cutting.  I did lots of ripping, though!  Go over and check her out, lots of tricks and treats to be had!

Kenny K's Crafty Girlz #13-HDH059

I found these Kenny K images through a friend of mine.  I know I've mentioned before how much I love them.  Here is my entry for this week's challenge, to bling it up!

I know.  I already used this digi.  I had to use it again.  The first time Lady Raven made it onto a card, it was for a birthday, and I actually had an image my crafty friend didn't.  This time, it's for a wedding, and Lady Raven happens to look like my Dollface Donna(whom the card is for).  Her favorite color is lime green, so that was an obvious choice.  She's a modern woman, lots of ink* (like me), and is marrying a tattoo artist on 10/27/10.  He's got brass knuckles tattooed under his eye, thus the knuck's on Frankie.  That super cool flower?  MS crown punch in two different colored papers, and a very cool handmade embellishment, Glow Skullz, made by my crafty pal Glo. You can get Glow Skullz HERE.  Colored with Copics, as always, and blinged up with Stickles.  Hope they dig it.  I love it.

*At the time of this posting, Dollface Donna sent me a picture message on my phone. It was her giant new neck tattoo. Told ya.*

I'm also entering this in Haunted Design House's Macabre Monday challenge.  I dig that blog as well, and it happens to fit the parameters of this weeks contest. Use a dastardly digi, and I'm thinking this will work. Yea!  I'm hoping to bust out more Halloweenie stuff soon, and get into more challenges.  Happy Haunting everyone!

39 and holding.

One of my nearest and dearest just celebrated her second 39th birthday.  Yes, you read that right.  She hit the good ole foxy 40.  She's wearing it well, and I wanted to make her something sexy-ish, so she didn't feel so decrepit.

This is Lady Raven, from Kenny K.  My foxy 40 friend is the one who got me into this crazy world of crafting, and has continued to be my inspiration.  She makes much, much cooler things than I do, but I'm still a wee pup.  The inside of the card said "But so do fallen arches, rheumatism, faulty eyesight, and the tendecy to tell a story to the same person 3 or 4 times."  She's a kick in the pants, and talented as hell.  I even inked up my body permanently with an image she drew.

She's got the same one. Glo, you continue to amaze me.  I can't thank you enough for being my friend, and for giving me this horrible addiction.  Always creepy, always cool.

Hogs and Sketches #10

I don't know where the hell I was last month for the Hambo sketch challenge.  I think I was engulfed in that 12x12 I've been tackling. No matter, my trusty 5 followers, I'm back with this months challenge.

This is Miss Fortune.  She's a Kenny K digi image.  Part of the Gothik Angelz collection. I've got three so far, I'm just loving these hot mamas. They opened up the challenge this month to using any image, rather than just a Hambo image. This might be my first entry this month, or might be my only. Either way, I couldn't wait to put her to good use.  Colored with my Copics, which I'm slowly getting better at.  Jazzed her up with Stickles, because they rock, and I love glitter.

Hopefully I'll get some good ole creepy stuffs here too.  My season is upon me, and I feel witchy.  Head on over to the Hambo blog, and check out this months challenge. You could win some neat o stuff. Not to mention, they've got some super cute images, rubber and digi.

Kenny K

I have been working on a 12x12 scrapbook (my actual first one) for a couple months now.  My my, they sure are time consuming.  I didn't think to take pictures of it until I had 22 pages done.  I did, however, take a break to procure some awesome digi images from Kenny K.  All I've done so far is color these stunning ladies, but I hope to soon put them to good use.  I give you my new ladies.

 This is Lady Raven.

And THIS is Allura Von D.  Hot little cartoonies, aren't they?

OH!  Through one of my creepy cool friends, I found this AWESOME blog, Zombies and Toys.  Who could ask for anything more?  It's got all kinds of cool contests, links to even cooler things like a Zombie store(yes, I said ZOMBIE store), artists, dead dollys, everything that makes my heart go thump thump.  So excited, found such cool stuff, yeah!

Too long.

This is the card I made my Dad for Father's Day. He loves pictures, and is a super proud Father-in-law, so I like to throw in my Hubs and I when I can. It also helps put a quick card together. He loves displaying all the cool stuff I make/give him, and this is no exception. It was quick, and painless.
It's been way too long since I've posted here. I lost my mojo for a bit. Got a request for a 12x12 scrapbook, (my first!) and have been consumed by it. Why no one told me it would drive me crazy is beyond me. I'm hoping to post much more often.

DJ Booty X & The Fresh Fish Posse

This is for one of my nearest and dearest, Katy. Earlier in this blog I posted a card I made for her upcoming granddaughter(Annabella, born 6/3/10). This is for her birthday this year. Katy has been a wonderful friend for many years, and we've made it through so much together. I couldn't possibly put her awesomeness into one card, but I tried. She's always been into dancing, and will be the lady grabbing everyone to get them out on the floor. Thus, the name DJ Booty X came into play, the fish are her dancing partners, myself included. I didn't pick the name, it just happened. I got this cute image from the Friday freebies over at Bugaboo Stamps. I finally got the Happy Everything stamp set before it retired from SU, and I love it. So useful.

6 down, forever to go.

For my Husband, for our 6th wedding anniversary. He's my best friend, and has made me the woman I am today. The inside says "Not even death will keep us apart." People mess with us over our obsession with each other, but we love love, and love our love, and wouldn't have it any other way. I love him more than I could ever promise.

Hogs and Sketches #8

Here's my entry in the Hambo Hogs and Sketches #8 contest. I've been having a blast partaking in these challenges. You have all month long to do come up with something, and the rules are pretty simple. This is one of their free digis you can download if you don't have any Hambo images. I bought this paper a couple weeks back and couldn't wait to use it. My Dad just tuned 60. He's having an island themed party, so I went with this floating fat cat, which happens to go with the lovely paper. It all came together in one sitting, that is, after I spent hours coloring with my Copics and Stickles. I love the spots on the cat. Kinda gave him an alley cat feel. Stray Cat Strut ran through my head the entire time I was coloring. If you haven't already, check out the folks over at Hambo and have fun with us. I love their images, and challenges.

Mojo Monday #137

This is my entry for Mojo Monday #137. You get a new sketch every Monday, and the first week of the month is a contest. I've had this cute Ian image for quite sometime, and have been waiting for the right card to be needed. Well, babies are blooming like flowers this year. This one is for a baby boy to be named Micheal, after his Daddy, my brother in law. Yea new nephew to corrupt! This was my first time ever doing hair blending with Copics. I love them!

Mojo Mama

Neither my husband, nor I, have Mothers(well not anymore..we didn't come from test tubes silly), so I decided to make a few cards for my friends to procure for a nominal fee. Lost my job and can't afford any more scrapping supplies, so a girl's got to her her fix somewhere, right? I used the sketch from Mojo Monday last week. What's great about this card is I didn't have to color anything, yet it turned out beautifully. My husband says it's his favorite card I've made so far. I'm getting better at tying bows, though they still seem to be out to get me.

Mojo Monday 136

This is my second ever entry into a Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I absolutely love the layout, and you could choose square or circle. My only problem was the color scheme I wanted to go with! I cut enough pieces for 3 cards, all different colors, and stayed with this one. I took a little advice from Monica at Hambo and glued my ribbon on this time! Tying a ribbon is the bane of my existence. I'm glad I made it, though. I love the way it turned out.

Dahlia Garden

I love Fort Bragg, Ca. Foghorns wake you up in the morning, and the sea sings you to sleep at night. Full of sea salt, trees, and hippies, it's one of my favorite places to go. They have a HUGE botanical garden and within it lies a garden of the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen, Dahlias. I found them by being a part of a wedding in the middle of all these breathtaking blooms. There were literally hundreds, all different colors and sizes, some with happy little bumble bees working in them. I went crazy and took pictures of almost every single flower there. The pictures hang in my kitchen, and now they adorn Mother's Day cards. My friend actually suggested it, and I couldn't believe I hadn't thought of it before. Not only was this card easy, quick, and fun to make, but it brought me back to the peace I found in that place. I can't wait to go back.
